Alice Ridge

Rooted in nature. Inspired by community. Located at Capilano University Squamish.

A Neighbourhood at Nature’s Doorstep

Introducing Alice Ridge — a vibrant new community on the ancestral territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation). Thoughtfully designed by Michael Green Architecture and led by Andrews Development, Alice Ridge brings together sustainable design, small-town spirit, and a bold new vision for University Heights.

A Place to Belong

Alice Ridge is more than a housing development — it's a community built for living well. Here’s what you’ll find:

  • 424 dwelling units in diverse typology

  • Neighbourhood commercial: grocery store, café, daycare, local businesses

  • Lush public spaces with playgrounds, plazas, rooftop gardens, and more

  • A walkable, bike-friendly design that flows naturally into the surrounding trail systems

  • Spaces for all — from young families to students, professionals, and seniors

What Alice Ridge Brings to Squamish

Set beside Capilano University and on the doorstep of Elfin Lakes, Alice Ridge is poised to:

  • Address the region’s housing needs with inclusive, long-term rental options

  • Create new jobs and opportunities for local entrepreneurs and service providers

  • Support active, connected living through parks, pathways, and outdoor amenities

  • Respect and protect nearby wetlands and natural habitat

  • Complement the revitalization of the university lands, supporting Capilano University’s expansion and the growing community at University Heights

  • Maintain a human scale that respects the character of existing neighbourhoods and the surrounding natural environment

Design That Reflects the Land

With materials that echo the surrounding terrain — basalt, wood, metal, and stone — Alice Ridge integrates naturally into its setting. From balconies that face the mountains to native plant landscaping, every detail honours the landscape and the people who call it home.

The landscape design emphasizes indigenous planting and habitat creation, supporting local biodiversity while offering opportunities for land-based play, exploration, and quiet reflection.

Outdoor spaces are crafted with care — from child-friendly nature zones to relaxed gathering areas — creating a living environment that fosters connection, wellness, and a deep sense of place.
